A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SILVERADO JUNIOR GOLF ORGANIZATION

Established in February 2024 as a nonprofit organization, the Silverado Junior Golf Organization was born out of a shared vision to inspire and empower the next generation of golfers. Building on the foundation of the Silverado Country Club Women’s Golf Association (SCCWGA) and their commitment to supporting girls' golf in the Napa Valley, the organization has expanded its mission to benefit all young golfers in the community.

What began as a vision to support girls participation in golf has grown into a dynamic program offering scholarships, mentorship, and inclusive opportunities for juniors to discover the game and thrive both on and off the course. In its first year, the organization raised over $50,000 through its inaugural fundraising Gala, showcasing the power of community support in making a lasting impact.

Today, the Silverado Junior Golf Organization stands as a pillar for youth development in the Napa Valley, fostering confidence, skill, and a love for the game. With the support of generous donors and passionate advocates, the organization continues to uphold its mission to create a brighter future for young golfers, ensuring the legacy of golf remains strong for generations to come.

ANNUAL EVENTS

The Silverado Junior Golf Organization hosts two annual events designed to bring the community together, inspire young golfers, and raise funds to support our mission. These events celebrate the game of golf while fostering opportunities for juniors to grow, compete, and thrive.

Junior Golf Carnival

Held annually, the Junior Golf Carnival is a community outreach event that invites youth and families to experience the joys of golf in a fun, interactive setting. With games, prizes, and opportunities to try golf for the first time, this event is a wonderful way to introduce kids to the game in an inclusive and welcoming environment. 

The 2025 Junior Golf Carnival will be held on Saturday April 26th.

Junior Golf Gala

Our marquee fundraising event, the Junior Golf Gala, takes place each spring in the elegant Silverado Ballroom. Featuring a lively auction, delicious dining, and opportunities to connect with fellow supporters, this Gala is a celebration of our mission, and a key driver of the resources needed to empower young golfers.

This unforgettable evening will feature a dazzling array of auction items, delicious fare, and opportunities to connect with others who share your passion for making a difference. Let’s celebrate community and champion the youth who will shape the future of the game we love.
